We should also be very careful not to treat the occult flippantly or as a source of entertainment. ![]() Since the Bible forbids contacting the dead, we should have nothing to do with séances. The human race has a conflicting relationship with their mortality. But cultures throughout the world report the effectiveness of occult practice-demons jump at the chance to fool the ungodly. The history of the seance is one of seeing the sad and vulnerable as an easy business opportunity, adding gauze and then calling it a party. Modern culture often discounts the supernatural, saying that, since it cannot be explained scientifically, it must not exist.
